Our Sailing Programs

1. Learn2Sail Programs

• Beginner-Friendly: Ideal for newcomers, these programs teach you the basics of sailing in a safe and fun environment.
• Youth and Family Options: We have tailored courses for kids, adults, and families to enjoy learning together.

2. Club Racing

• Regular Races: FYC hosts a variety of races every Saturday from October to April. Our club racing calendar offers something for everyone, from casual sailors to competitive racers.
• Diverse Fleets: Our races accommodate various boats, including dinghies, catamarans and junior Fleets
• Race Results and Leaderboards: Track your progress throughout the season with our regular race results and leaderboards, updated weekly.

3. Social Sailing

• Relaxed Sailing Days: If racing isn’t your style, join our social sailing days. Enjoy a leisurely sail on the bay, meet other members, and soak up the beautiful surroundings.
• All Skill Levels Welcome: Social sailing is perfect for everyone – from beginners to experienced sailors looking for a laid-back sail.

4. Youth Sailing

• Junior Sailing: We offer dedicated programs for kids aged seven and up to learn sailing in a fun and safe environment.
• Pathway to Racing: For those looking to improve their skills, our youth programs provide a pathway to competitive sailing, fostering the next generation of champions.

Events and Regattas

Frankston Yacht Club is proud to host several regattas and sailing events throughout the season. Whether you’re participating or just watching, these events are a highlight of our club's calendar:

• Annual Club Regatta: A fun-filled event for sailors of all levels, featuring a mix of racing, social activities, and community engagement.
• Interclub Regattas: Join sailors from across the region for friendly competition and camaraderie.

Membership and Sail Passes

Become a Member

• Join FYC to enjoy full access to our sailing programs, club facilities, and a vibrant community of fellow sailors.
• Members benefit from discounted course fees, access to storage facilities, and the opportunity to participate in races and social events.

Sail Passes for Visitors

• Visiting sailors can join us for a day with a Sail Pass for just $10.
• If you have an Australian Sailing Number, please select Returning Member.
• If you do not have an Australian Sailing Number, please select New Member.
• Sail passes can be purchased online or at the club on arrival.

Facilities and Storage

Our club is equipped with top-notch facilities to enhance your sailing experience:

• Clubhouse: Relax and unwind with fellow members after a day on the water.
• Boat Storage: Limited storage options are available for members. Learn More About Storage.
• Safety: We prioritize safety, with all races conducted under the guidance of experienced Race Officers and safety boats on standby.
