Attain your Victorian Boat Licence Course with Penisula Boating - Hosted at Frankston Yacht Club 

There is a very interesting power point session and many boating videos to explain all the rules and regulations in everyday terms.   This lasts about 3 ¼ hours.

How old must I be?

• Ages 12  to 15 years can get a “Restricted Marine Licence.”
  (Restricted to certain speeds and operating situations as explained on the course)

• 16 years of age and over can obtain a “General Marine Licence.”
• Jetski endorsement is recognised at 16 years of age.
  (Jetski endorsement can be sat for at 15 years of age, but it IS NOT recognised until you are 16

Cost

The cost of this course is Free to FYC and MPTC members.

However, you will need to pay the cost of the Marine Licence from Vic Roads 

What are the fees to be paid at VicRoads?

The fee for your licence is for 5 years. After that, you can renew your licence similarly to your car licence.

The 5-year fees are

• General Marine Licence $183
• General Marine with PWC endorsement $209
• Restricted Marine Licence (under 16) $89.00
