Treasurer - Richard Burdack
SECRETARY - Peter King
Peter been interested in sailing at many different points in his life. Originally he became interested in sailing to avoid having to do Cadets at Mentone Grammar. He was part of Mentone Sea Scouts.
Later in life he came back to sailing. The reason to come back to sailing this time was not to avoid something, it was to share something. He joined Frankston Yacht Club in 2006 at a time when his two children were spending too much time at home. Sailing provided an excellent vehicle for developing his children’s life skills. By life skills we mean having to mix with people [and learn to get along with them], face up to the forces of nature and to learn a skill in understanding and managing a boat. He am a strong believer in sailing as an activity to can build skills. He have been an active member and taken on the responsibilities with the committee first as a general committee member and then as Secretary for 7 years.
